Rule 118
To be given an opportunity to submit a clarification
: (1) The officer authorized to order departmental punishment shall submit his explanation to the armed police officer before ordering departmental punishment in cases other than section 21 of the Act, mentioning the reasons for taking action before ordering the departmental punishment. You have to give it a chance. When given an opportunity like this, the accusations leveled against him should be clearly stated and each accusation should also be disclosed on what matter and reason it is based on. If given an opportunity to be cleared, the accused armed police personnel will also have to submit their explanation within the deadline. The concerned authorities should seriously consider the clarifications submitted in this way.
(2) If the officer who has the authority to order departmental punishment deems it necessary, he or any other officer may investigate and take a report including his opinion.
